Watertown Police Log: Man Found Lying Next to Car, Laptop Stolen from Best Buy

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Sept. 4, 2:12 a.m.: An officer patrolling on Dexter Avenue spotted a man lying next to a vehicle, which was still running, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. The inside of the vehicle was covered in vomit, a tire was shredded and one of the wheel rims was destroyed. The man had an odor of alcohol on his breath. Douglas Inacio, 21, of 85 Spring St. in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sept. 7, 2:45 a.m.: An officer patrolling on Arsenal Street spotted a car that drove to the left of the center of the road and went around a concrete divider, Lawn said. The car was stopped and the officer detected an odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath. Masis Cinar, 27, of 33 Hersom St. in Watertown, was arrested charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving to the left of center on the road.

Incidents

Sept. 2, 5:45 p.m.: A Morse Street resident reported that a car had been broken into on Aug. 20, the inside had been rummaged through and $10 in cash was taken, Lawn said.

Sept. 3, 8:15 p.m.: A man was spotted carrying a laptop under a coat at Best Buy and when security approached he ran out of the store and got into a tan sedan, Lawn said. The Toshiba laptop was worth $699.

Sept. 5, 4:57 p.m.: A Nikon camera was taken out of an unlocked vehicle on Mason Road on sometime between Sept. 3 and 4, Lawn said.

Sept. 7, 10:15 a.m.: A woman on Rangley Road had cash hidden in a closet and she discovered it was missing, Lawn said. She could not remember the exact amount. There were no signs of forced entry.
