Watertown Police Log: Man Tries to Steal Water Heaters, Woman Caught Shoplifting

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Jan. 15, 12:10 a.m.: A man and woman argued on the corner of Lexington and Main streets and police responded and discovered the woman had an outstanding warrant, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Romina A. Aedo, 19, of 16 Royal St. in Watertown, was arrested on a warrant from Waltham District Court for armed robbery and assault and battery.

Jan. 19, 9:32 a.m.: Police stopped a man on Marion Road and found he had an outstanding warrant, Lawn said. Mark C. Gagnon, 32, of 13 Walnut St. Apt. 7 in Waltham, was arrested on a probation warrant from Waltham District Court for larceny of over $250.

Jan. 15, 5:15 p.m.: Security at Marshall’s spotted a woman placing men’s clothing into the basket of a stroller and tried to leave, Lawn said. The woman had $73.94 worth of merchandise. The 25-year-old Dorchester woman will be summonsed to Waltham District Court for shoplifting under $100, Lawn said.

Jan. 15, 8:14 p.m.: The owner of a 2003 Honda Civic parked on Pierce Road came out and found someone had entered the car and rummaged through the glove compartment, Lawn said. The owner believes a small amount of change was taken. There were no signs of forced entry.

Jan. 17, 6:05 p.m.: A man tried to take two water heaters from Home Depot, worth $1,048 each, Lawn said. When the man was stopped by an employee he ran and got into a black Chevy Avalanche. The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-40s with shoulder length brown hair, Lawn said.
