Watertown Police Log: March 26 to April 1

Man assaulted at skating rink, car stolen and a business broken into.

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

March 28, 8:49 p.m.: Police were called to Lyons Street for a domestic disturbance, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Gerico Sanchez, 24, of 7 Lyons St. in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

March 29, 7:02 a.m.: Police were called to Commonwealth Road for a domestic disturbance, Lawn said. Sebastian Priest, 28, of 28 Commonwealth Road Apt. 2 in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

March 31, 10:38 p.m.: An officer patrolling on Main Street ran the registration of a 1996 Chevy Cavalier and found that the plates belonged on a Chevy Blazer, Lawn said. When the officer pulled over the driver, he discovered two warrants out in the driver’s name. Edgar J. Pineda, 25, of 18 Lawton Place Apt. 18 in Waltham, was arrested on charges of driving an uninsured motor vehicle, driving an unregistered motor vehicle, attaching plates to a motor vehicle, and two warrants from Waltham District Court, both for traffic violations.

April 1, 4:15 a.m.: A police officer ran the plate of a Dodge Durango at the gas station on Galen Street and the plate came back as expired, Lawn said. The driver also had an arrest warrant in her name. Lauren Maguire, 20, of 47 Berwick St. Apt 3L in Melrose, was arrested on a warrant from Malden District Court for assault and battery.

 

Incidents

March 26, 8:20 a.m.: A man came to the Police Station to report that he had been assaulted by an acquaintance, Lawn said. He was at the on the evening of March 25 and got into a brief argument with the man. As he left the arena, the acquaintance was waiting and sucker punched him in the parking lot. The man did not want to press charges.

March 26, 3:52 p.m.: Someone broke into Lifetime Exteriors on Arlington Street between 6 p.m. on March 23 and 10 p.m. on March 24, Lawn said. It appears they got in through a flimsy back door, and four checks were taken from a desk drawer.

March 27, 8:32 p.m.: A 14 year old boy told police a boy came up to him at and asked to use his iPod, and never gave it back, Lawn said.

March 28, 2:01 p.m.: A man parked his 2011 Infinity in his assigned parking spot on Angela Lane on March 26, and the next day it was gone, Lawn said.

March 29, 5:03 p.m.: The tire of a 2007 Honda Civic was slashed while it was parked in the driveway of a home on Kimball Road, Lawn said.

March 31, 2:56 a.m.: A cab driver reported a fare evasion to police, Lawn said. He picked up a man in Boston who had a bike. The GMC Denali Limited Edition bike was placed in the trunk, and he drove the man to Boylston Road. When they arrived the man jumped out of the cab and ran behind a house. The bike was left behind.
