Watertown Police Log: OUI Arrest, Vandals Strike Business

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watertown Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Feb. 11, 3:27 p.m.: A detective who was at the Arsenal Mall spotted a man he knew had outstanding warrants, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Michael C. DiRoma, 20, of 308 California St. Apt. 12 in Newton, was arrested on four warrants: three from Newton District Court, one for breaking and entering and attempting to commit a felony - one for a minor in possession of alcohol, and one for receiving stolen property and possession of a Class E drug - and a fourth from Brighton District Court for larceny over $250.

Feb. 15, 2:59 p.m.: Watertown detectives received information that a man with warrants out in his name was at a home on Lexington Street in Belmont, Lawn said. Jonathan S. Golden, 24, of 133 Templeton Parkway in Watertown, was arrested on three warrants – one out of Waltham District Court for larceny over $250, one from Cambridge District Court for traffic offenses and one from Concord District Court for receiving stolen property.

Feb. 16, 1:42 a.m.: An officer on patrol spotted a 2010 Honda Civic traveling down Main Street with no headlights on, Lawn said. When the car was stopped, the officer detected an odor of alcohol on the driver’s breath, Lawn said. Eva Kowalska, 30, of 133 Amherst Ave. in Waltham, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, vehicle lights violation and driving to the left of the center of the road.

Incidents

Feb. 11, 9:25 a.m.: A vandal spray painted letters and symbols on three spots on the Adina R & D Inc. building on Elton Avenue, Lawn said.

Feb. 12, 6:15 p.m.: An intruder forced open the rear door of a home on Main Street near Evans Street, Lawn said. The burglar stole assorted jewelry worth about $5,000, Lawn said.

Feb. 17, 9:28 a.m.: The owner of a Ford Edge discovered someone broke into the car when it was parked on Dexter Avenue, Lawn said. A Garmin GPS, an iPhone 4 and a prescription was missing, Lawn said. There were no signs of forced entry.
