Watertown Police Log: Storage Locker Raided, Jewelry Missing from Two Homes

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Aug. 19, 4:36 p.m.: Police arrested Robert Phinney, 52, of 27 Lexington St. in Waltham, on charges of domestic assault and battery and violating an abuse prevention order, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

Aug. 25, 5:33 p.m.: Police arrested Juan A. Concepcion, 29, of 34 Bates Road Apt. 1 in Watertown, on a charge of domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon – a shod foot, Lawn said.

Aug. 20, 5:32 p.m.: A Standish Road resident said sometime between Aug. 9 and Aug. 20 some jewelry went missing, Lawn said. Two bracelets worth $8,000 were reported missing. There were no signs of forced entry.

Aug. 20, 9:28 p.m.: A Salisbury Road resident discovered pry marks on the window of a car, and the window would not open, Lawn said. A GPS unit was missing from the car.

Aug. 21, 8:20 a.m.: A car was broken into on Oak Street and some prescription medicine was taken, Lawn said.

Aug. 22, 6:19 a.m.: A storage unit on Arlington was broken into and a number of pieces of construction equipment were taken, Lawn said. Two drills, three framing guns, four 4x10 sheets of copper, and copper piping, worth a combined $3,200, were reported missing. The lock was cut off the unit.

Aug. 23, 12:12 p.m.: An unlocked vehicle was entered on Lloyd Road and rummaged through. A small amount of change was taken, Lawn said.

Aug. 24, 9:20 a.m.: A car was broken into on Dexter Avenue, and change was taken, Lawn said.

Aug. 24, 5:57 p.m.: A woman came into Victoria’s Secret and took 70 bras worth $3,650, Lawn said. The suspect was described as a heavyset Hispanic woman.

Aug. 25, 7:48 p.m.: Jewelry was stolen form a home on Morse Street. A tennis bracelet, an anniversary band and a wedding ring, worth a combined $3,000, were reported missing, Lawn said. There were no signs of forced entry.
