Watertown Police Log: Worker Stole Over $1,000, Basement Floods When Pipe Cut

The following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Jan. 14, 2:56 p.m.: Police were called to Philip Darch Road for an unwanted person. They found the woman had a warrant out for her. Police arrested Miranda Lee McHught, 33, of 53 Philip Darch Road in Watertown, on a warrant from Chelsea District Court for traffic offenses.

Jan. 15, 12:05 a.m.: Police arrested Habib S. Jah, 18, of 66 Aldrich Road Apt. A in Watertown, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Jan. 15, 9:10 p.m.: Police arrested Simone Jahnke, 48, of 15 Basewater St. Apt. 2 in East Boston, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.

Jan. 16, 9:12 p.m.: Police arrested Imen Elloumi Hannachi, 34, of 16A Perry St. in Watertown, on a charge of domestic assault and battery.


Incidents

Jan. 13, 8:34 p.m.: Someone broken into the parking lot of Circle Supply and shattered the driver side window of a truck.

Jan. 15, 5:47 p.m.: A home on Webster Street undergoing renovation was broken into and a piece of copper pipe was cut in the basement. The pipe had water inside and the basement with four inches of water.

Jan. 15, 7:33 p.m.: A package was taken from a mail room in an apartment complex on Pleasant Street. It was delivered at 4 p.m. but was gone by the time the resident came to collect it.

Jan. 15, 10:32 p.m.: A package containing personal items was delivered to and address on Mt. Auburn Street but was gone when the resident went to get it.

Jan. 17, 10:14 p.m.: The general manager of a building on Hunt Street saw a man weaving back and forth next to the building, and later she learned someone had tagged the building with spray paint. The suspect is 18-19 years old, and wore a baseball cap and a backpack.

Jan. 17, 12:36 p.m.: Workers at Work'N Gear at the Watertown Mall noticed they had a shortage in inventory. When they investigated they found an employee had taken about $200 worth of merchandise and had taken $890 in cash by making fraudulent returns. The suspect, a 23-year-old woman from Dorchester, will be summonsed to Waltham District Court on a charge of larceny over $250.

Jan. 17, 10:29 p.m.: A woman went to Golden Nails in the Watertown Mall and took her ring off while her nails were being done. She left without her ring but when she remembered and returned to the store, the ring was gone.

Jan. 18, 10:06 a.m.: A car parked behind athenahealth had a tire slashed multiple times.
