Watertown Police Log: Man Exposes Himself, Shoplifters Try to Escape by Throwing Food

he following information was provided by the Watertown Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Arrests

Sept. 30, 3:41 p.m.: Mpagi K. Kironde, 25, of 10 Grandview Ave. in Watertown was arrested for violating a restraining order.

Sept. 30, 9:51 p.m.: Justin Kenneth Carson, 25, of 120B Pond St. in Waltham, was arrested on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery.

Oct. 2 , 9:02 p.m.: Robert Phinney, 52, of 27 Lexington St. in Waltham, was arrested on a warrant from Waltham District Court for violating an abuse order and assault and battery.

Oct. 4, 7:06 p.m.: Azad Terzian, 28, of 34 Flint Road in Watertown, was arrested on a warrant and handed over to Lexington Police.

Oct. 6, 2:48 a.m.: A man was seen falling asleep in a car and when an officer spoke to him an odor of alcohol and did sobriety tests. Jordan M. Kibuuka, 30, of 10 Gilbert St. in Waterotwn, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of an open container of alcohol in a vehicle.

 

Incidents

Sept. 30, 10:45 a.m.: A Rose Avenue resident discovered a diamond ring that belonged to her mother was missing. The ring is worth $10,000, and she last saw it a couple months ago. There were no signs of forced entry.

Oct. 2, 10:10 a.m.: A man ordered an iPhone 5 and it was delivered to his home on Walnut Street, but when he got home it was missing.

Oct. 2, 2:46 p.m.: A Partridge Street resident found that a number pieces of jewelry had gone missing, and she believes it may have been taken when work was being done on her home in May.

Oct. 2, 6:54 p.m.: A package containing a Kindle Fire was delivered to a home on Copeland Street and when the resident came home the package was gone.

Oct. 3, 11:26 p.m.: A man left his motorcycle outside a friend’s home on St. Mary’s Street at about 9:15 p.m. and when he came out at about 11:25 p.m. the blue 2003 Kawasaki Ninja was gone.

Oct. 5, 8:17 p.m.: Two women with a young boy came into Sports Authority and took some merchandise out of the store. Security followed the women into the parking lot where they got into a blue Ford SUV. When the security tried to get close enough to get the license plate one of the suspects threw a bag of food at him, and the SUV sped off. The plate was located and Belmont Police stopped the vehicle on Concord Avenue in Belmont. Two women from Dorchester, a 24-year-old and a 42-year-old, will be summonsed to Waltham District Court on shoplifting charges.

Oct. 6, 12:11 a.m.: A man and woman were sitting in a car in a parking lot off Arlington Street when a man came p to the car and exposed himself to them. The suspect was described as a black man, 25 to 30 years old, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-8, about 170 years old and had tight cornrows.
