Watertown Collecting Used Needles and Syringes This Weekend

The collection event is limited to household sharps.

The Watertown Health Department will take used needles and syringes a the Household Sharps Collection Day.

The collection will take place on Saturday, Sept. 14 in the rear parking lot of Town Hall, 149 Main St. The event is for Watertown residents only, and runs from 9 a.m. to noon.

Needles, syringes and lancets will be accepted in non-transparent, sturdy, puncture proof containers.

Unused and capped needles, syringes and lancets will be accepted in their original packaging, as well as sharps containers.

Proof of Watertown residency is required and no medical or commercial sharps will be accepted.
