Watertown Residents Can Sound Off About Airplane Noise

A Town Council subcommittee will host a discussion of noise from air traffic from Logan Airport.

Complaints about noise from airplanes heading to and from Logan Airport have increased in Watertown, and now residents can be heard on the subject.

On Monday, Dec. 2, the Town Council's Committee on State, Federal and Regional Government will hold a hearing on airplane noise. The most complaints have been from residents of the Eastside of town.

Town Councilor Angeline Kounelis said it is key for people to have voice their opinion.

"Unless people come forward and state that there is a problem, we will not have a seat at the table (in discussions about Logan)," Kounelis said.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. on Dec. 2 in the Lower Hearing Room in Town Hall.
