Watertown Schools Busy With Upgrade Projects this Summer

While classrooms will be quiet, Watertown’s schools will be busy with the sound of construction this summer.

The Town Council approved $207,000 in upgrades in July at three schools and the district’s administration building.

The list includes air conditioning, improving school entrances and replacing paths.

The projects and estimated costs are:

  • Walking path replaced and gate installation at the Cunniff School Playground - $30,000
  • Brickwork repointing at the Cunniff School - $12,000
  • Complete the HVAC system at the Hosmer School  preschool - $60,000
  • Install drainage at the Hosmer School Lower Gym - $20,000
  • Replace the entrance at Watertown Midle School - $45,000
  • Install central air conditioning for the third floor offices at the Phillips School (the school administration offices) - $40,000
