Watertown Schools Closed Monday Due to Hurricane Sandy

The governor has requested that all public schools close Monday for the storm.

Schools will be closed Monday in Watertown due to Hurricane Sandy, which is expected to hit the area around dawn on Monday.

Watertown Educators Association President Debra King, who teaches at the Hosmer School, said she got word that classes will be canceled for the storm.

Gov. Deval Patrick has requested that all public schools be closed for the storm.

The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning starting Monday at 6 a.m. and ending Tuesday at 6 a.m.
