Boston College Hockey Team to Hold Celebration, Parade

The men's hockey team took home a national title over the weekend.

Following its  on Saturday, the men's hockey team and head coach Jerry York of Watertown will be coming home to celebrate in style. 

Boston College will hold a parade for the men's hockey team Tuesday (April 10) starting at 5:30 p.m. According to an email from BC Athletics, the parade will begin at Conte Forum, travel through campus, up Commonwealth Avenue and end at O'Neil Plaza. 

At 6 p.m., a championship celebration will be held in the plaza with special guests, former championship team members and the recently-crowned National Champions. Following the ceremonies, the team will be available for an autograph session.

According to Boston College Spokesman Ed Hayward, the celebration will not be a significant disruption to traffic, as the parade will travel just a short distance on Commonwealth Avenue.

The Eagles traveled to Tampa, Fla. last week to compete in the NCAA Frozen Four, defeating Minnesota 6-1 Thursday night and then taking down Ferris St. 4-1 in the title game on Saturday night.
