Hey Detroit! This is Why the Sox are Going to Win!

Time to tell the world why the Boston Red Sox are going to come out on top of the Detroit Tigers in the American League Championship Series.

It's been an undeniably magical season for the Boston Red Sox. From the pit a year ago, this year's team has definitely turned things around.

And judging from the dominating American League Divisional Series win over the Tampa Bay Rays, it looks like our team has saved the best for last.

We here at your Massachusetts Patch sites are always up for a little friendly competition between our Patch site friends around the country, and we have some sites in Michigan who have challenged us to come up with all the reasons the Sox are going to continue their winning ways during the American League Championship Series. The Michigan sites, likewise, are posting the reasons they are convinced their Detroit Tigers are going to end the Sox's record-breaking season. (Can't fault them for living in denial).

So, why are you absolutely certain the Boston Red Sox are going to to be the American League team headed to the World Series?

Is the power in the beards? Is it because Koji Uehara is the season's best closer? Is it the sheer success of those bats? Or is it just the crazy tenacity the team has shown all season long?

Tell us in the comments section below why you believe the Boston Red Sox are going to beat the Detroit Tigers in the ALCS.

By the way, the first game of the ALCS will take place Saturday at Fenway Park. First pitch is scheduled for 8:07 p.m. and the game will be televised on Fox.
