Watertown Boys' Soccer Team Rolls Past Ipswich in the State Tourney

The Raiders won 4-1, and advanced to the North Div. 3 Section semifinals. Field hockey team plays Friday.

 

The Raiders' soccer team rolled over Ipswich Tuesday night, sending Watertown High School on to the MIAA Div. 3 North Section semifinals.

Watertown's run through the state tournament continued with the 4-1 win over No. 14 seed Ipswich (9-7-4) at Victory Field. The No. 6 seed Raiders improved their record to 12-2-6.

The Raiders move on to face Newburyport on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at Manning Field in Lynn. Newburyport, the No. 10 seed, comes in with a record of 11-6-2 record and defeated No. 7 seed Tech Boston and No. 15 seed Lynnfield to get to the section semifinal.

The boys' soccer team is not the only team in the state tournament. The Watertown field hockey team plays in the MIAA Div. 2 North Section semifinal against Winchester Friday at 5:30 p.m. at Reading High School.
