Watertown Starts Path Toward Fifth Straight Field Hockey Title

The Raiders look to continue their record streak.

Watertown's field hockey team earned the top seed and will host a section quarterfinal game on Friday, which could be the first step toward the Raiders' fifth straight state title.

The MIAA Div. 2 North Section tournament game will be at 2:30 p.m. at Victory Field, and Watertown will play the winner of the Wilmington-Lynnfield game. The second seeded team in Div. 2 North is Manchester-Essex, which has a record of 15-0-3.

The Raiders finished the regular season with an 18-0 record, and only allowed two goals the whole season. Last year Watertown won its fourth straight title against Oakmont. The Raiders have not lost in 110 games and set the longest unbeaten mark in state history this year.
