A veteran lineup helped Donohue’s Kaos Club take the 2013 Watertown Summer Basketball Leage title on Thursday night.
The team defeated the Middlesex Magic 60-44 in the third and decisive game of the Papas Elite Finals.
Craig Griffin’s 19 points provided a game high, and Seth Hauben added 12 more for the victors, according to the Watertown Recreation Department.
The Magic were led by Ben Coffin who scored 13 points. Jason O’Keefe added another 11.
The season has been a tough one, said League Commissioner and Recreation Director Peter Centola, who mentioned that a favorite son of the league, Jay Jerahian is fighting for his life, as well as the tragic and untimely death of Joe Glynn in the first game of the league this season.
The summer league season is not over yet, with the O’Brien Legends League about to get started. The first game of the finals between Johnson Club and The Finnegan Club will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the court behind the Watertown Boy’s & Girl’s Club.
