A 4th of July Celebration Planned at Watertown's Victory Field

Games, prizes, baseball games and free food and refreshments will be provided by the Watertown Recreation Department.

Looking for something for the kids to do on the Fourth of July, well the Watertown Recreation Department has activities planned at Victory Field, plus there is the all-star youth baseball games.

The activities run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and there will be games and prizes for chidren of all ages, and free hamburgers, hot dogs and refresshments beginning at 10:30 a.m.

This will be the first time that this event will be held on the new Victory Field. There is limited parking at the field, but you can also use the Public Works lot adjacent to Victory at 124 Orchard Street. You can enter through the visitor’s gate as to avoid traffic and parking congestion.

10 a.m.: AA All-Star Baseball Game

10 a.m.-11 a.m.: Basketball Contests (ages 8-12)             

Parachute Games (ages 7 and under)

Field Goal Contest (all ages)

11 a.m.-12 p.m.: Kickball (ages 7 and under)                             

Flag Football (ages 8-12)                             

Dodgeball (all ages)

12 p.m.: AAA All-Star Baseball Game 

12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m.: Three-on-Three Basketball (all ages)                             

Relay Races (all ages)                             

Whiffleball Game (ages 8-12)

1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m.: Street Hockey (ages 8-12)                              

Group Games (all ages)

Wiffleball Homerun Derby (all ages)

2 p.m.: Majors All-Star Baseball Game

2:30 p.m.- 3 p.m.: Water balloon Toss (all ages)
