Operation American Soldier Receives $5,000 from Watertown Savings

The Watertown-based group sends care packages to military servicemen and women stationed overseas.

The following release was sent out by Watertown Savings Bank:

Watertown Savings Bank (WSB) has donated $5,000 to Operation American Soldier (OAS). The bank presented the donation to OAS founders and local realtors John and Wendy Rocca, at WSB’s annual Club 50 holiday party, on behalf of the more than 3,500 Club 50 members.

“Let no one walk away from mail call empty handed.” That is the goal of OAS. For nearly 10 years, the Roccas along with OAS volunteers have gathered, prepared, and shipped care packages to men and women serving in the Armed Forces.
