ALL-STARS perform admirably

The Middle Essex All-Star softball games were played this past weekend, Aug 3rd at Tufts Park in Medford. Representing the Watertown Raiders from our 12U division and first on the days venue were Destiny Santalucia, Amelia Doyle and Caroline Costa. Next on the schedule was the 10U division and representing the Watertown Wildcats were Chloe Fandetti and Gracie Denneen. The last game for our All- Stars was a match up in the 18U bracket. The 18U division featured 4 All-Stars from our Waltham/Watertown team the Summer Hawks. The All-Stars were Jadzia Lee, Dana Hammerle, Meredith Waddick and Alexis Dango.
    The president of the Middle Essex softball league, Jeff Strong, stated "Our All Star Day was a smashing success. The weather was great, there were many many close games and everyone seemed to be having fun!"
  In all our 3 teams featured 9 players. All of our girls played admirably and proved to be great selections to the All-Star teams. They have played great all year long and certainly proved that they belong playing beside the states best.
