Summer Hawks Bounce Back In A Big Way

The 18U Summer Hawks came storming back after tough losses against Medford and Tewksbury. On Tuesday July 2nd the Summer Hawks team lost to Medford 21-9 and then on the 8th a much closer loss to the Tewksbury Redman 7-4.
But the Summer Hawks knew they were a good team and they would not hang their heads. So in back to back games they turned things around and did it in a BIG way. On Thursday July 11th the Waltham/Watertown team took on the Charlestown Townies in Waltham and got themselves back on the winning track to even their record at 2-2. The very next night they found themselves playing Medford again but this time with results more to their liking. The Summer Hawks got a W and it was a BIG one! Final score, 15-0. And to put a cherry on it the team was able to convert 3 double plays. One of the team goals was to convert a double play as coach McGovern put in place because "A bunch of girls on the team said they have never made one".
The now 3-2 Summer Hawks next play the Melrose Red Raiders on Monday 7/15 in Melrose. Go Summer Hawks!!
