Faire on the Square, Show Your Watertown Pride, Art Classes Begin

Take a look at a handful of things you need to know for the week ahead in Watertown.

Faire on the Square

This year’s Faire will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature music, food and tables from dozens of groups, businesses and organizations from around Watertown. Entertainment includes a performance by Beatle Juice, a Beatles cover band. See the entertainment line up here

Come Show Your "Watertown Strong" Spirit

Join the group of residents who will spell out "W Strong" on Victory Field at halftime of the Watertown High School football game against Stoneham on Friday, Sept. 27. A photo will be taken and submitted to be part the Watertown Police Foundation calendar. The game starts at 7 p.m.

Arsenal Center Kids & Teens Art Classes

The Arsenal Center for the Arts offers a full spectrum of classes and workshops for kids of all ages beginning the week of Sept. 23 and later. Students learn from professional artists and their classmates in the supportive environment. Find out more details here

Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry Walk

Join the "Walk of Life" Walkathon on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Save a Life.  All proceeds will benefit the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry.  If you can't walk, please consider sponsoring a walker or donating. To register or donate visit www.abmdr.am/ne-walk. The walk starts at the Armenian Cultural and Educational Center, 47 Nichols Ave. and ends at the Faire on the Square near Town Hall. Click here for more info.

Free Public Flu Clinic

The Watertown Health Department sponsors a Free Public Flu Clinic at the Brigham House, 341 Mt. Auburn St. on Thursday Sept. 26, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. This Free Public Flu Clinic is open to anyone 55 and older. There will be other clinics this fall, click here for a schedule.
