Take a look at some things going on in Watertown this week.

Good Spirits All: Solstice with Seven Times Salt

The Church of the Good Shepherd invites the public to join Seven Times Salt for the annual winter solstice concert on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. There will be a warming mix of tunes old and new from across Europe, including a brand new STS original. Reception and wassail to follow. Good cheer guaranteed! See more here.

Children's Book Award

The Watertown Free Public Library invites kids to come read and discuss some of the best books of 2013 on Wednesday at 3 p.m. The seek your input to pick our winners! Bring suggestions and opinions. For grades K to 5. No Registration.

WHS Teams in Action

The Raiders play a number of games this week. On Tuesday at 7 p.m. the girls' basketball team hosts Arlington, while the boys travel to Arlington Tuesday at 7 p.m. On Wednesday, the Watertown hockey teams travels to Arlington (Ed Burns Arena) - boys play at 6 p.m. and girls at 8 p.m. On Friday, the boys basketball team hosts Winchester at 7 p.m., while the girls travel to Winchester to play at 7.

Night on Cushing Square!

Cushing Square businesses hosts a Night on Cushing Square on Thursday at 5 p.m. There will be raffles, discounts refreshments and fun for the entire family! Receive a Passport at any participating business to have your name entered into a raffle drawing! Head to the area of Belmont at Common Street and Trapelo Road near the Watertown line. Superhero Party!

Fly in to the Watertown Free Public Library for some superhero fun on Friday at 3:30 p.m. Choose your own superhero name, design your own cape, and enjoy other heroic fun! For grades K to 2. Registration is required, see how here.
