Celebrate the Completion of Watertown's New Mural

The new mural along the path was painted by a group of Watertown High students who worked with a professional artist.

The new Community Path Mural now covers a once graffiti-covered wall, and on Sunday residents are invited to celebrate with the artists themselves.

The mural was painted by Watertown High School students who worked with Boston muralist Gregg Bernstein over the summer and recreated scenes of Watertown on the wall.

On Sunday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m., the sponsors of the wall from the Watertown Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee and Watertown Citizens will be joined by elected and town officials including State Rep. Jonathan Hecht, Town Council President Mark Sideris and Director of Economic Development and Planning Steve Magoon.

The mural is located on the path between Whites and Waverley avenues, about a block from Main Street. The celebration will be rescheduled if there is heavy rain on Sunday.
