Musical and Free Symposium on the Legacy of John F. Kennedy

The play begins Saturday, and the free symposium is Sunday.

The legacy of John F. Kennedy will be explored in the musical "Camelot," which will be presented by New Repertory Theatre starting this weekend in Watertown.

On Sunday, Nov. 24 at 5 p.m., a special, free symposium - 1963-2013: John F. Kennedy A Half-Century Later - about the legacy of the Kennedy Administration will be held at the Arsenal Center for the Arts. The panel includes Thomas J. Putnam, director of John. F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum; Aaron S. Leklider, assistant professor of American Studies at UMass-Boston; Graham K. Wilson, chair of the Political Science Department at Boston University; and Thomas J. Whalan, assistant professor of Social Sciences at Boston University.

Camelot runs from Nov. 23 to Dec. 22. The book and lyrics are by Alan Jay Lerner, music by Frederick Loewe. The production is directed and choreographed by Russell Garrett, with musical direction by David McGrory.
