Your Guide: Boston College Kicks Off Against Villanova
The Eagles open the 2013 football season on Saturday at Alumni Stadium.
It may be August, but the college football season has already started in Chestnut Hill as Boston College hosts Villanova.
Kickoff for the Eagles opener is noon at Alumni Stadium.
The team welcomes new head coach Steve Addazio, who comes to The Heights after a stint at Temple. Addazio hopes to start a new winning tradition at BC, which comes off of a 2-10 2012 season.

The team will be lead by senior quarterback Chase Rettig, who has a prime target in senior wide receiver and Biletnikoff Award watch list member Alex Amidon. He had set the single season record for receptions (78) and yards receiving (1,210) in 2012.
On defense, look for defensive end Kasim Edebali and linebackers Steele Divitto and Kevin Pierre-Louis.
