Decent food a tad pricey for what you get, but a broad variety of options, and they sell beer and wine, service is usually good, IF you go 'off-peak' you will have a much better experience, don't try to go there on a weekend morning and expect to sit right down and get great service. I've been a few times in the evening and was very happy with the service. With so many other options nearby why does anyone wait an hour to eat here? Maybe because they tell you it will only be 20 minutes, then once you've waited 35 you feel committed to wait it out.

I eat here regularly for breakfast on weekend or dinner when I'm too hot to cook. The food is not that expensive and generous. For instance the turkey tips, mashed potato, and vegetable is very good and generous. The Deluxe town diner donated lunch for our Vacation Garden School in July enough for 22 children and 8 adults! I try not to eat desserts, but recently i saw the baker put out fresh cupcakes she had made with funky tops. They have a heart for environmental sustainability and are involved in the town.
I live in town and have tried this place a few times for breakfast and dinner. I'm generally easy to please, but each time I have been disapointed with something. The owners used to own/run the old Blue Diner near South Station. They also currently own a restaurant in Newton Center near the train station formerly Starbucks. Food acceptable, portions stingy, prices high side, seats uncomfortable, service spotty, coffee always seems luke warm to me (served from a thermos) most of the desserts are "out of a box" and not home-made. Not impressed at all, I'd rather make breakfast at home and save the $15.00 it will likely cost with tax and tip...

I have tried this place about three times and was disappointed every time! It just isn't that great...
