Since 1959, members of the Marine Corps League Shutt Detachment have come together to preserve the traditions and promote the interests of the U.S. Marine Corps. The Shutt Detachment holds monthly meetings at its headquarters, a large house on Mt. Auburn St. with naval guns in front. The detachment also has an Honor Guard that appears at events.
