A Dorchester man was arrested after he assaulted a clerk with a lollipop display stand at 7-Eleven on Mt. Auburn Street on Monday. Watertown Police officer Sheila Grady-Duguay responded to the call from the store reporting a man making a disturbance, at 12:09 p.m. "(Grady-Duguay) observed a male swinging a gallon bottle of blue windshield-wiper fluid over his head and slamming it on the counter sending blue liquid into the air," said Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Grady-Duguay also saw the man, identified later as Jose R. Rosario, 28, of 22 Roseclair St., Apt. 2 in Dorchester, throwing items and swinging things at the clerk. A man told police he was pulled out of the supermarket and attacked by a man, Tuesday.
A 35 year-old man was dragged out of Stop & Shop on Watertown Street Tuesday afternoon and attacked by another man, said Police Lt. Michael Lawn. The homeless man said told police he was at the customer service counter at 2:58 p.m. Tuesday when he was assaulted. "(The attacker) dragged him outside and started punching and kicking him," Lawn said. The man described the suspect as a 5-foot-10-inch Hispanic male and approximately 40-years old, who was wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans, Lawn said. He also told police that he had seen the man in Waltham. The suspect was seen leaving the area in an older model red Ford pick-up truck with wood panels. Police continue to investigate the case, Lawn said.
