21 Nickels Holding Fundraiser in Honor of a Late Watertown Resident

The Day for Billy O'Brien on Oct. 8 will raise money for the Boys & Girls Club 5K Road Race.

Saturday, Oct. 8, 21 Nickels Grille and Tap will remember Billy O'Brien and raise money to help one of his favorite causes – the Watertown Boys & Girls Club. O'Brien died 7 years ago of an aortic aneurysm at the age of 28. He was a talented golfer, who played for Fairfield University, and was involved in the Watertown Community, said Sean Gavin, co-owner of 21 Nickels. "Every year we do something to honor Billy," Gavin said. "He was really involved in the Boys and Girls Club, so we used to do a golf tournament. A lot of his friends are not golfers, so we try to include as many people as we can, so we are having an event." Those who come to 21 Nickels (21 Nichols Ave.) on Oct. 8 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and donates to the Boys & Girls Club …
