More than 9 inches forecast for Watertown. Schools closed Thursday.
9:15 a.m. - Recreation Director Peter Centola sent out an announcement that all Recreation Department activities are cancelled today. 6:20 a.m. - Heavy snow fell overnight in a storm which the National Weather Service now predicts will dump more than 9 inches on Watertown. The Watetown Public Schools will be closed Thurday due to the storm. The town is under a snow emergency, which started 9 p.m. Wednesday, and includes a on-street parking ban.
