There must be something in the water, because a national survey ranked two Watertown companies among the top 150 places to work in the nation. Watertown-based Bright Horizons Family Solutions Inc. goes public, so to speak, on Friday when the child care center operator begins trading on the New York Stock Exchange. The Boston Herald reports that Bright Horizons seeks to sell more than 10 million shares at a price between $19 and $21 under the symbol BFAM. The company is owned by Bain Capital Partners – a company co-founded by Mitt Romney. The company runs 700 child care centers worldwide, including one in Watertown, according to the Herald. Bright Horizons also runs six elementary schools. This has been a good few weeks for Bright Horizons, which came in at 90th in Fortune Magazine's list of "100 Best Companies to Work For."
