Medley of Marinades: A Griller’s Delight

As the summer unfolds, marinades ensure your barbecues are a smashing success.

For the grilling enthusiast, marinades take the process to a whole other level. From a functional standpoint, they serve as a meat tenderizer, creating a more pleasurable eating experience. Truth be told, there are some pretty decent pre-made bottled marinades out there. From my own tests of the available products, I would caution you against the “30-minute” claims boasted by some brands.  Marinating is like slow roasting. There are no short cuts to achieve optimal flavor. For meats, you need at least four hours to enable the meat to tenderize and absorb flavors.
