Massachusetts Second Highest Priced Housing Market, Watertown in Middle for Bay State
Watertown sits in the middle of the pack for housing prices in the state, but housing prices remain high nationally.
Watertown's housing prices may not be the top in the area, but Massachusetts has some of the highest prices in America. In this year's edition of Coldwell Banker's national Home Listing Report released Thursday, Nov. 29, the typical four bedroom, two bath home in the Watertown is $502,838, which ranks the town the 51st most expensive in the Massachusetts. The Bay State, however, ranks the second highest in the country, with an average listing price of $489,063 – behind only Hawaii's $742,551 but ahead of California's $431,625.
