Winter Recreational Programs For This Year
The Department of Recreation has created new programs for this winter to keep the kids active
This winter Watertown is trying to keep those kids excited. As they do every year the Department of Recreation is in the process of tweaking the old winter programs and creating some new ones as well. New programs include Little Shooters, a basic basketball training for kids between kindergarten and first grades, and the middle school basketball program. In the Little Shooters, children will learn the basics of basketball, such as passing, dribbling, shooting and defense. The middle school basketball program is open to girls and boys, and participants start with a 15 minute mini-clinic and then play a game.
