Watertown Cross Country Competes in Middlesex League Meet
Varsity boys come in seventh place, girls come in eighth. Waleska Alvez has strong performance, finishes in 17th place.
The Watertown High School boys cross country team took seventh place at Monday's Middlesex League meet at the Woburn Country Club and the girls team finished eighth. The race was comprised of all 10 teams in the Middlesex League, and Watertown runners fared well against the competition. Watertown's Waleska Alvez had a strong performance, coming in 17th place (out of 10 teams comprised of 69 runners) with a time of 16:52. She was the first Red Raider to finish the 2.5 mile course. The defending 2010 League Champions were victorious at the race, and victors included the Lexington girls, and the Winchester boys.
