Watertown Woman Busted for OUI After Driving Past Police with Flat Tire
The 29-year-old was stopped on Arsenal Street and arrested for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.
A Watertown Police officer who stopped to assist a colleague on Arsenal Street looked when he heard a grinding noise and saw a car drive past with a completely flat front tire. The officer pulled the grey Toyota over on March 17 at 5:06 a.m. on Arsenal Street near Irving Street, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. He reported smelling burned rubber from the flat tire. "He stopped the motor vehicle and detected an odor of alcohol on the driver's breath," Lawn said. Field sobriety tests were performed, and the driver was placed under arrest, Lawn said. Caitlin E. Hanlon, 29, of 100 Waltham St. Apt. 18 in Watertown, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, Lawn said.
