High tech company Mimecast recently opened the doors to its new headquarters that features space for people to work and to get in a workout or snooze. A company moved into the former Boston Scientific building - now known as the Riverworks - and will occupy nearly 34,000 square feet of the building on Pleasant Street. Mimecast moved from Waltham, where it was located in the former Waltham Watch Factory. The company provides computer cloud-based email archiving, continuity and security for businesses and organizations using Microsoft Exchange email. The Riverworks complex on Pleasant Street welcomed three new tenants to the former Boston Scientific building.
Three companies signed leases to move into the Riverworks complex, the Aetna Mills which most recently served as home to Boston Scientific. Mimecast North America, Fresh Tilled Soil and Kearsarge Energy have signed long-term leases for a total of 49,565 square feet of space at the former mill builing at 480 Pleasant St. at Bridge Stret, according to the Boston Business Journal. Fresh Tilled Soil and Mimecast will move to Watertown from the Waltham Watch Factory. Fresh Tilled Soil will occupy 14,230 square feet on the third and fourth floor, while Mimecast will establish it's U.S. headquarters in 33,669 square feet on the first floor of the building.
