Council Rules, Neighborhood Conservation Districts Discussed by Council
Revisions to Town Council rules not ready for adoption. Council subcommittee also heard about proposal for neighborhood conservation districts.
The Town Council Rules and Ordinance Committee has been revising the council's rules, but the draft brought forward by subcommittee chairman Anthony Palomba were sent back for more study, Tuesday, when questions arose. District A Town Councilor Angeline Kounelis said she was concerned about a rule that called for councilors to receive "council documents in electronic form in a timely manner." Kounelis does not use a computer at council meetings, and she wanted to make sure that printed material would also be available. "We must all remember that we are here as a council to serve the residents of Watertown, not to serve the will of the (town hall) administration," Kounelis said.
