Schools Closed in Watertown on Tuesday Due to Snow Storm
Superintendent may request having school on Good Friday to make up for days lost to snow.
The Watertown Public Schools will be closed Tuesday due to the snow storm that hit the area overnight and is expected to continue through the day. The closing was announced on the WBZ-TV school closing list. With Tuesday's snow day, Watertown schools have been closed six days due to snow this year. School officials build in a five day cushion for snow closings, but with the extra closing Watertown will have to find another day of school. On Monday night, Superintendent Jean Fitzgerald said she may ask the School Committee to have school on Good Friday, on March 29. Two interesting points. I wonder if more parent feel the same as Jean Ann, and would rather see the extra day during April Vacation rather than Good Friday?   more ›
