LETTER: Whooley Foundation Thanks Those Who Helped Over the Holidays
The program gives gifts to less fortunate children in Watertown in honor of former Watertown Police officer Sonny Whooley.
Dear Contributors, The Whooley Foundation is a non-profit organization that was founded in the memory of John “Sonny” Whooley a Watertown Police Officer, resident, father and husband. He loved our community and served it for over 30 years as a Watertown Police Sergeant. He had a special place in his heart for those less fortunate than himself. He always strived to make children a little happier during the holiday season. This year, in addition to over two hundred children from Watertown helped by the Whooley Foundation, we were also able to give assistance to the Watertown Food Pantry and an inner city Catholic learning center, to our list of recipients.
