A 71-year-old Watertown man faces assault charges after he allegedly hit a cyclist in the face during a confrontation on Watertown Street. According to police reports, officers were dispatched to Watertown Street Saturday afternoon (Aug. 31) for reports of a bicycle striking a car. When police arrived on scene, they spoke with a man who had returned to his parking spot to find a cyclist picking up a bike off the side of his car. The driver told police he demanded the cyclist's phone number and address as well as a hand written pledge for the reparation for the damage to the vehicle. The following information was provided by Middlesex District Attorney's office: Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone announced the following indictments: EVERETT Arsham Bedrossian, 29, of Watertown, was charged with trafficking cocaine and a drug violation in a school zone. The Assistant District Attorney is Marisa Tagliareni. Gregory Desamours, 24, of Revere, was charged with trafficking cocaine and a drug violation in a school zone. Police set up a bust because they suspected the man was selling drugs around town.
Watertown Police arrested a man suspected of selling heroin in and around Watertown. Angel L. Vega, 31, of Jamaica Plain, was arrested on July 23 at 6:05 p.m. when he allegedly sold a small bag of heroin to an undercover officer, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. The bust took place at Aldrich Road and Watertown Street, near Casey Park. The bust was made by the Watertown Police inconjuction with the Suburban Middlesex County Drug Task Force, Lawn said. Vega, of 38 Mozart St. Apt. 1 in Jamaica Plain, faces charges of possession of a Class A drug, possession to distribute a Class A drug, a drug violation near a park, and distrubuting a Class A drug. Lawn said.

A 17-year-old was allegedly jumped by two young men while he was walking through Linear Park.
Police arrested two Watertown men and a 15-year-old boy will be summonsed to court for their involvement in an unarmed robbery of a Watertown teen in Linear Park. The victim, a 17-year-old Watertown boy, had been receiving threatening calls from an acquaintance who said he owed him money, said Watertown Police Lt. The group kept the man from leaving the area of the Beacon Hill home he allegedly robbed until police arrived.
A man who walked into a woman's Beacon Street house and left with her handbag Friday was stopped and surrounded by neighbors until police arrived. According to police reports, around 10:25 a.m. a woman who was assisting with a move at 74 Beacon St. noticed that a man she didn't know was walking out of the building carrying a woman's handbag. She asked her companions if they knew him and they all went outside to confront him, according to reports. Outside they saw him going through the handbag. One of them grabbed the bag from him and another identified it as her property that was left unattended inside the home. Brookline and State Police arrest a Watertown man after an eastbound chase down Rte. 9 early this morning. The Driver is currently under police guard at Beth Israel Hospital.
Early this morning, Natick Police attempted to stop a man driving a 2012 Toyota SUV on Rte. 9. The driver then fled, leading local and state police on a chase which ended after the driver crashed into a State Police cruiser and sideswiped one from Brookline. The driver, Ender Durgut, of 39 of School St. in Watertown, was arrested and charged with various driving violations, including negligent operation, failing to stop, and leaving the scene of a crash. He is under police guard at Beth Israel Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. Boston Police arrested a Watertown man who allegedly pulled out a BB gun while walking on Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton. At about 8:39 a.m., on Sunday, Feb. 26, a witness told officers from District D-14 precinct in Brighton they had seen a man with a gun at the intersection of Commonwealth and Harvard avenues. The witness said the man pulled a large, black handgun out of a duffel bag, according to a Boston Police report. The witness left the area. Watertown Police arrested a 33-year-old Watertown man after they found 7 pounds of marijuana, as well as LSD and Extasy in his Chester Street home. Police received a search warrant for 9 Chester Street after an investigation in which Watertown worked with the Framingham Police and the U.S. Postal Service, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. They served the warrant on Oct. 29 at 1:23 a.m. "Officers located approximately 7 pounds of marijuana packaged in a variety of packaging, and small amounts of LSD and Exctasy," Lawn said. The woman was arrested on an OUI charge after striking two cars and the utility pole early Sunday morning.
A drunken driver hit two parked cars and a utility pole on Main Street, knocking out power in the are early on the morning of Sept. 11. Police were called to the corner of Green and Main streets at 3:10 a.m. on Sunday and officers found several people gathered around two heavily damaged parked cars. Another car sat on the opposite side of the street facing the wrong way, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. A Watertown man with a history of check fraud and his female partner were arrested by Belmont Police officers Tuesday, Sept. 6, as they attempted to run their scam at the Belmont Savings Bank. Christopher MacNeil, 25, and Denise Melanson, 41, both of 15 Highland Ave. in Watertown, were booked on several offenses after MacNeil was arrested at a Belmont Savings branch for a scheme that drained the bank account of a Belmont resident of $12,000. MacNeil was booked on uttering a forged check, larceny by check and possession of stolen goods. Melanson was booked on the utterance of false checks and attempting to commit a crime.
