Man Assaulted and Robbed on Arsenal Street in Watertown

The attacker took the man's cell phone during the assault.

A man was attacked while walking down Arsenal Street and his iPhone was taken during incident, police say. The man attack occurred near the Toyota of Watertown dealership on Jan. 14 at 12:38 a.m., said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. The man was wearing headphones listening to music when another man approached him, Lawn said. "He grabbed (the victim) by the shoulder and threw him to the ground and one individual got out of the motor vehicle and threw bags at the victim that had water inside," Lawn said. "He realized that his iPhone had been taken during the attack." The attackers then got into the car, a black older model four-door Hyundai, and drove off toward Boston, Lawn said. They were described as white males in their 20s, and one …

Man Reportedly Attacked by Two Men While Walking Down Main Street in Watertown

Two men crossed the street to attack the man.

Two men reportedly attacked a man as he walked down Main Street in Watertown just before midnight on Jan. 13. The 39-year-old man told police he was walking on Main Street near French Street at 11:55 p.m. when he was attacked, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. "He was walking westbound on Main Street when two white males crossed the street and attacked him," Lawn said. "They pulled his jacket over his head and began to punch him." The two men then ran away on Main Street, toward Watertown Square, Lawn said. The man did not get a good look at his attackers, so he could not provide more of a description, Lawn said. "He said he had no idea who they were," Lawn said.

Watertown Woman Groped by Man While on Her Way Home from the Bus Stop

A man followed her from the 73 bus stop on Belmont Street and assaulted in front of her Mt. Auburn Street home.

A woman on the way home from the bus stop was groped by a man as she walked up the path to her home on Mt. Auburn Street on Oct. 19. The woman told police she got off the 73 bus at 33 Belmont Street at about 8 p.m., and as she walked down St. Mary's Street she sensed someone was following her, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. "When she got to her residence and began to walk up the path a male came up behind her and grabbed her on the buttocks," Lawn said. "Then he took off down Francis Street toward Belmont Street." The woman described the man as dark skinned and wore a black hoody, Lawn said. Police are investigating, Lawn said.
