Watertown Democrats Reschedule Town Caucus

Delegates will be elected for the state convention at the caucus rescheduled because of the blizzard.

The Watertown Democratic Town Committee will host the rescheduled town caucus on Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. at the Watertown Free Public Library, announced Steve Owen, chairman of the Democratic Town Committee. Originally scheduled for Feb. 10, the caucus had to be postponed because of the Blizzard of 2013.  At the caucus, delegates for the Massachusetts Democratic Convention will be elected. The town committee also seeks high school students interested in participating in a Youth Convention. Watertown Democrats Holding Caucus on Feb. 11

Delegates for the Massachusetts Democratic Convention will be selected, and will help nominate the U.S. Senate candidate.

The following announcement was sent out by the Watertown Democratic Committee: Registered Democrats in Watertown will be holding a caucus in the Watertown Savings Bank Room of the Watertown Library on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. to elect 22 delegates and four alternates to the 2012 Massachusetts Democratic Party’s nominating convention. The Convention will be held on Saturday, June 2 at the Mass Mutual Center in Springfield. “This is going to be an exciting year as we build on our recent successes and prepare for the elections in 2012,” commented Watertown Democratic Committee Chairman Steve Owens.
