A burglar broke into two homes on Fayette Street after the break ins.
A burglar broke into two homes on Fayette Street in Watertown and made off with thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. On Jan. 29 at 6:46 p.m. the resident of a home on Fayette Street near Whites Avenue called police to report that someone had pried open the front door and stole $3,000 worth of jewelry, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn. Police also heard from the resident of the other side of the two-family home also discovered that the window on the front door was broken and $20,000 worth of jewelry was taken, Lawn said.
