Boston Globe Honors Watertown Artists

  Young artists from Watertown received recognition for their artwork from the Boston Globe and you can see some of the works at the Watertown Mall.  The Globe recently announced the winners in its annual Scholastic Arts Awards. Easter Bunny Hopping Around Watertown Starting This Weekend

You can get photos of your children with the Easter Bunny at either of Watertown's two malls.

The Easter Bunny will hop into Watertown this weekend, and stay for a while.  Watertown's two malls, the Watertown Mall and the Arsenal Mall will host the fuzzy guy for the next couple weeks.  On Friday, the Easter Bunny arrives at the Arsenal Mall. Your child can "strike a pose" with him and come home with a photo to remember the visit.  He will be there until March 30, and hours will vary with the mall hours. The Easter Bunny comes to the Watertown Mall on Saturday. He will pose for photos each day through March 30. Photos cost $9.99. Stores in Watertown Opening Earlier for Black Friday Shoppers This Year

Find out when the stores will open on Black Friday so you can take advantage of the deals.

Watertown's stores and malls will open even earlier than last year on Black Friday so shoppers can have more time to hit the sales. Some stores in town will open in the wee hours of Friday to welcome shoppers. The Arsenal Mall opens its doors at 12:30 a.m. on Black Friday, and Best Buy and Target, at the Watertown Mall, open at 1 a.m.  The Watertown Mall opens at 7 a.m., an hour and a half ealier than normal. Carter's, located at the mall, opens at 6 a.m. The Arsenal mall includes a Gap Outlet, an Old Navy Outlet, Sports Authority and Forever 21 stores, all of which will open at 12:30 a.m. Marshalls, which is also in the mall, opens at 7 a.m. Shops are opening earlier than last year. Santa Claus is Coming to Town! See When He Will Arrive in Watertown

The Watertown Mall celebrates the arrival of Old Saint Nick on Friday.

Children's Events Coming to the Watertown Mall in July

Puppets, animals and sea creatures will visit the mall this month.

Looking for activities for the kids this month, well you may want to stop by the Watertown Mall, which will host a few events for youngsters this month. The calendar includes puppets, cute animals and fascinating sea creatures. On July 14, come join Wayne Martin Puppets who will bring Buford T. Dog  and his pals at a “Teddy Bears Picnic” including a man with “A Bird on His Head,” and a host of other hand puppets and marionettes at the mall. There will be three free shows at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. A wood turtle and a screech owl from Drumlin Farm will pay a visit on July 18. Learn where they live, what they eat, and about their natural environment.
