Five Things You Need to Know Today: Nov. 28

WMS PTO Holiday Shopping Night, Historic District Commission discusses the Orchard House and learn about helping non-profit groups.

  1. The Watertown Middle School PTO hosts a Holiday Shopping Night, this evening. 2. The Historic District Commission meets tonight and will review the final application for creating a new historic district for the Orchard House. 3. ReServe is holding an informational meeting tonight for people 55 and over interested in helping non-profit groups meet their misssion. 4. The Traffic Commission meets today in Town Hall and will discuss a number of items including proposals for removing parking and adding stop signs in town. 5. For up-to-the-minute news on this and other stories follow Watertown Patch on Twitter and Facebook or subscribe to the free email newsletter.

Five Things You Need to Know Today: Jan. 18

Wrestlers take on Arlington, kids can make flip book movies and whist at the Senior Center.

The Watertown High School wrestlers host Arlington tonight at 7 p.m. Just some of the WHS athletes in action today. The Watertown Free Public Library invites childen ages 3 to 5 to learn how to make their own flip-book movies. Seniors can join a game of whist at the Senior Center today from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. New players are always welcome. The Recycling Advisory Committee meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the Public Works Facility. Teens can come to the Watertown Public Library to watch a movie and enjoy some refreshments tonight at 6 p.m.
