Woman Leads Police on Chase After Hit and Run Incident

See why the driver left the scene of the accident on Mt. Auburn Street.

A driver fled the area of an accident and was ultimately caught by police near Belmont. 

An accident occurred on Sept. 23 at 5:32 p.m. at Mt. Auburn and School streets, and one of the drivers left the area, said Watertown Police Lt. Michael Lawn.

"The vehicle fled the area, and Belmont Police stopped her on Winsor Avenue in Watertown," Lawn said.

Police discovered the driver did not have a license, Lawn said.  

Agmar De Lima, 33, of 207 Waverley Avenue in Watertown, was arrested on charges of unlicensed driving, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving an uninsured vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage and driving with a revoked registration.
